Iligan City – The “Tempest Cup” storm made landfall and local Pokemon GO Level 40 Trainer SnowFall017 wins the second Player vs player (PVP) Tournament yesterday in Silph Arena’s themed cup for March 2019 that featured Electric, Ice, Flying and Ground types.
The tournament held at Miguel Sheker Park Welcome Arch that had a turn out of nine competitors saw great performances from Trainers DocZokemn (Level 40), Searhere (Level 32), and YabbFrums, a Level 27 Trainer who recently got back into the game, and managed to pull off quite a surprise by earning a spot among the top 4 players.
Immediately following last month’s Silph Arena’s Twilight Cup, which featured Fairy, Poison, Dark and Ghost types. The Tempest Cup is the second PVP themed cup in the city under the Silph League Arena’s series of competitive Pokemon GO Tournament Play that started December 2018.
February’s Twilight Cup only had eight participants and barely enough to make it happen then but with The Tempest Cup with nine, a single addition surely gave Iligan’s local Pokemon GO Community that boost, for it was, after all, another very successful Silph League sanctioned competition taking place.
Local Pokemon GO players again took part in another exciting and fun-packed event as they battled it out. And they are quite eager to square it off against each other again in next month’s Silph League Tournament, The “Kingdom Cup,” which will feature Steel, Dragon, Fire and Ice types.
Traversing down the Silph Road is real fun for local Pokemon GO trainers here. The Tempest Cup was like a raging tempest when it hit but at the ebb of the storm, it gave us a calm realization that we are not only Iligan City’s Pokemon GO Community, we are a family!
